ELMHURST, Ill. – Kristin Bukata was included as part of the D3hoops.com All-Region Team, as the junior was a First Team selection on Monday.

Bukata, a unanimous All-CCIW First Team selection this season, led the Bluejays with 17.4 points and 7.4 assists per game, as Elmhurst earned a berth into the CCIW Women's Basketball Tournament last month. The junior led all of NCAA Division III in assists per game, and finished third in the CCIW in scoring.

Earlier this season Bukata became the 13th player in Elmhurst history to reach 1,000 career points, and moved to the top of the program record book in career assists, with 344 at the close of her junior season.

The junior is now a two-time D3hoops.com All-Region Team honoree, after being selected to the Third Team as a sophomore a year ago.
