ELMHURST, ILL. – The Elmhurst women's lacrosse dropped their second contest of the season, falling to Concordia University Chicago 20-1.
In the opening half the Cougars scored five goals in the first 10 minutes of the game. The Bluejays answered when
Kalie Miller finished a pass from
Bailey Ekstrand to make the score 5-1. Concordia scored seven more goals, extending their lead to 12-1 at the end of the first half.
The Cougars outscored the Bluejays 8-0 in the second half, to pull away for the 20-1 win.
Concordia (2-0) was led by Emily Cyrwus' four goals and two assists. Brynn Beetow and Rylee Orenstein scored three goals each. Elizabeth Cyrwus, Nina Naes, and Grace Miller each recorded two goals on the night.
Abby Derick totaled 10 saves for the Bluejays in net.
