ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst women's tennis team upped its record to 8-6 on the season by rolling past the Milwaukee School of Engineering 8-1.
The Bluejays took five of the six singles matches and swept all thre doubles contests in the victory.
In doubles play,
Rachel Rettger and
Kathryn Wheeler downed Katie Clements and Cierra Smith 8-4 at No. 1.
Chiara Gaudio and
Dacey Maglaque toppled Hannah Marron and Leah Becker 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Pamela Kobeszko and
Lindsey McAuliffe teamed up to dispatch Calie Bonie and Kim Baffin 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, Gaudio upended Marron 6-3, 6-0 at No. 1 while Rettger cruised past Clements 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2. Wheeler blanked Becker 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 while McAuliffe stopped Olivia Boden 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5.
Bridget Lopez rallied past Baffin 4-6, 6-0, 10-3 at No. 6 singles.
