KENOSHA, Wis. – The Elmhurst women's lacrosse team suffered a 22-1 road loss at Carthage College.

Carthage (6-8, 3-3 CCIW) scored the first six goals to race out to 6-0 lead after 23 minutes.
Kalie Miller scored off a
Marie Corpuz assist with 6:22 left to play in the opening half to put the Bluejays on the scoreboard. Carthage scored the next five goals to carry an 11-1 lead into halftime.

The Lady Reds scored early and often in the second half, outscoring Elmhurst 11-0 while pulling away for the victory.
Carthage otushot Elmhurst 42-4 and held a 26-10 edge in ground balls.

Jessie Gibson totaled 11 points on eight goals and three assists to lead the Lady Reds in the win.
Marissa Vaca recorded six saves in goal for the Bluejays while Corpuz also stopped four shots in net over the final 13:31 of action.

Elmhurst closes its 2019 season by traveling to Augustana College on Saturday, April 26.
