BELOIT, Wis. - Larissa Arvanites scored two goals to pace the Elmhurst women's lacrosse team in an 18-4 road loss at Beloit College.

Elmhurst (1-11) scored the game's first goal as Marie Corpuz netted an unassisted goal just one minute in the contest.

Beloit (5-10) responded with a 9-0 run over the next 24 minutes to open up a 9-1 lead. Arvanites scored back-to-back goals from free position just over 40 seconds apart to cut Beloit's lead to 9-3, but Beloit added a goal just before the half to build a 10-3 lead at the half.

The Buccaneers extended their lead early in the second half on a Fiona Milchman goal, but Kalie Miller scored less than two minutes later to bring Elmhurst back to within seven goals. Belout scored the final seven goals of the contest to pull away for the 14-goal win. 

Beloit outshot Elmhurst 42-11 and held a 29-15 edge in ground balls. 

Arvanites led Elmhurst in the loss, scoring two goals in the contest. Corupz and Miller finished with one goal apiece. Miller totaled a team-leading nine draw controls while Corpuz tallied six ground balls and caused four turnovers. 

Marisaa Vaca recorded 13 saves for the Bluejays in the cage. 

Kieran Rodning totaled six goals to pace Beloit while Milchman and Nicole Dolcimascol scored five goals apiece. Alexa Arakelian totaled two saves in goal for Beloit.

Elmhurst plays at Carthage College on Wednesday, Apri 24.
