ANGOLAD, Ind. - Kalie Miller scored a goal for the Elmhurst women's lacrosse team in the Bluejays' 16-1 loss at Trine University. 

Trine scored the game's first six goals before Miller put Elmhurst (1-4) on the scoreboard, scoring off a Tessa Sellentin assist. Trine scored the next six goals before the half to build a 12-1 lead at the break. The Thunder scored the final four goals of the second half to pull away for the 15-goal win. 

Trine outshot Elmhurst 35-5 and held a 34-16 edge in ground balls. Elmhurst won nine draw controls in the contest. 

Marissa Vaca recorded five saves in goal for the Bluejays. 

Kristin John powered Trine in the win, totaling 11 points on seven goals and four assists. Shea Rayburn added three goals while Kristen Nguyen and Peri Darmofal totaled two goals apiece. 

Elmhurst hosts Johnson & Wales University-Denver tomorrow (March 24) at Langhorst Field.
