ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst women's lacrosse team slipped to 1-3 on the season following a 15-1 loss to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls at Langhorst Field.

UW-River Falls (2-1) scored 10 goals in the opening half to open up a large lead. The Falcons tacked on two goals early in the second half to extend their lead to 12. 

Larissa Arvanites scored Elmhurst's only goal midway through the second half, capitalizing on a shot from free position. The Falcons scored the final three goals of the contest to pull away for the 15-1 victory.

UW-River Falls outshot Elmhurst 29-11 and converted on 14-of-17 clearing attempts. Elmhurst was successful on 9-of-17 clearing attempts. 

Marissa Vaca recorded 10 saves in goal for the Bluejays. 

Cassandra Hubble and Emma Kohlbeck scored three goals apiece to pace UW-River Falls' offense. Hanna Helms and Lexy Meinert added two goals apiece. 

Ashley Olson earned the win in goal while stopping six shots.

Elmhurst plays at Beloit College on March 20.
