Kalie Miller all tallied goals in the Elmhurst women's lacrosse team's 13-3 loss to Monmouth College.

Cisneros scored just 2:30 into the contest to stake Elmhurst (0-2) to an early one-goal lead, but Monmouth (1-0) answered back with five straight goals to take a four-goal lead. Arvanites found the back of the net with just over three minutes remaining in the half to pull Elmhurst to within three goals (5-2) at halftime.

Kara-Jade Gordon scored back-to-back goals for Monmouth to start the second half, extending the Fighting Scots' lead to 7-2. Miller netted her second goal of the season with 21 minutes left to play to make the score 7-3, but Elmhurst came no closer as Monmouth scored the final six goals of the contest to pull away for the 13-3 win.

Monmouth outshot Elmhurst 31-10 in the contest and held a 24-15 edge in ground balls.
The Bluejays could not slow down Gordon as she totaled nine points on seven goals and two assists. Amanda Green added a goal and three assists for the Fighting Scots.

Marissa Vaca recorded 13 saves in goal for the Bluejays.

Elmhurst hosts Olivet College next Wednesday, March 6.
