ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's soccer team slipped to 0-2 to start the 2018 season after suffering a 3-0 loss at the hands of Saint Norbert College.
Saint Norbert (2-0) scored twice in the first half and added a goal in the second to earn the 3-0 victory. The Green Knights outshot Elmhurst 15-4 in the contest, including an 11-0 edge in the first half.
Drake Vandermause scored just 5:40 into the match to put Saint Norbert up 1-0. Evan Watzka added a goal in the 31st minute to outbid the Green Knights up by a pair at the half.
Ben Prange tacked on an insurance goal in the 59th minute. Saint Norbert held a 9-2 edge in corner kicks.
Donnie Kvien recorded eight saves in goal for Elmhurst.
Elmhurst travels to Olivet College on Wednesday, September 5.
