WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Elmhurst men's lacrosse team won its eighth consecutive contest by blowing out Carroll University 25-1 in the Bluejays' CCIW opener.

Elmhurst (9-1, 1-0 CCIW) scored early and often while racing out to a 9-0 lead after the first quarter. The Carroll (2-7, 0-1 CCIW) scored the first goal of the second quarter, but Elmhurst scored the game's final 16 goals while cruising to the 24-goal victory.

Elmhurst outshot Carroll 64-8 and held a 42-17 edge in ground balls. The Bluejays also cashed in multiple Carroll penalties, scoring six goals on the man-up advantage.

Cullen Nordemann led Elmhurst's offense with nine points, pouring in a season-high six goals wile tacking on three assists.
Mac Harden added seven points on four goals and three assists.
Jake Cambron totaled four goals while
Andrew Frerich added six points on two goals and a team-leading four assists.
Jake Heil and
Marcus Yandall also recorded hat tricks in the win, tallying three goals apiece. Yandall added three assists to finish with six points while Heil also added an assist to tally four points.
Carter Meyer won 16-of-18 faceoffs, scored two goals and totaled a team-leading seven ground balls.
Trent Nyberg also scored for the Bluejays.
Eric Langston caused five turnovers while recording two ground balls.

Jacob Delgado picked up the win in goal, recording one save while allowing one goal.

Jeff Schultz scored Carroll's only goal of the contest. Abe Escarda totaled 13 saves in goal for the Pioneers.

Elmhurst hosts the University of Dubuque on Wednesday, April 11.
