DECATUR, Ill. – The Elmhurst men's soccer team battled rainy conditions and came up short in a 4-0 road loss to Millikin University.

Millikin (8-3, 3-0 CCIW) scored late in the first half on a Rudy Mathieson goal to take a 1-0 lead at halftime. The Big Blue pulled away in the second half, scoring three times in a 17-minute span to put the game out of reach. Patrick Dolan netted a goal in the 72nd minute while Bradyn Nokes followed with a goal in the 79th minute. Weston Fallert scored in the 89th minute to account for the Big Blue's final goal.

Elmhurst (1-11, 0-3 CCIW) held a 7-5 edge in corner kicks but Millikin outshot the Bluejays 20-8, including a 13-4 edge in the second half.
Patrick Smith took the loss in goal for Elmhurst despite recording eight saves. Isaac Hopper picked up the win in net for the Big Blue, recording a shutout with three saves.
