CHICAGO, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's soccer team battled rainy conditions in a 4-0 road loss at North Park University.
Elmhurst (1-12, 0-4 CCIW) kept North park off the scoreboard for over 35 minutes before the Vikings broke through. Erik Lundeen scored with just under eight minutes left in the first half put the Vikings up 1-0. Just over 90 seconds later, Lundeen set up Peder Olsen for a goal to give North Park (10-2, 4-1 CCIW) a 2-0 lead at the half.
Lundeen netted his second goal of the game in the 53rd minute to extend North Park's lead to 3-0. Joachim Hoff added a goal in the 59th minute to make the final score 4-0.
North Park outshot Elmhurst 23-4 in the contest and held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
Patrick Smith took the loss for Elmhurst in goal, surrendering four goals while recording seven saves.
