WAUKESHA, Wis. – Carroll scored the only goal in the 62nd minute to defeat the Elmhurst men's soccer team 1-0.

Elmhurst (1-13, 0-5) held Carroll (1-11-2, 1-4 CCIW) off the scoreboard for over 60 minutes before the Pioneers jumped in front. Shea Connell broke the scoreless tie in the 62nd minute, connecting off assists from Austin Schulze and Peanut Taylor. The Pioneers made the goal stand up for the rest of the game to secure the victory.

Carroll outshot Elmhurst 9-2 in the contest while Elmhurst held a 7-5 edge in corner kicks.

Patrick Smith took the loss in net for Elmhurst, despite allowing just one goal. Smith recorded four saves in the contest. Connor Thompson earned the win in goal for shutout, notching the shutout by recording two saves.
