ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's soccer team scored its third consecutive victory with a 1-0 shutout win over Knox College.
Josh Arvidson scored the game's only goal in the 28th minute, connecting off a
Keegan Thompson assist to lift Elmhurst (4-13) to the win.
Knox (13-4-1) outshot Elmhurst 21-3 in the contest, including an 11-1 edge in the second half. The Prairie Fire also held an 11-0 edge in corner kicks, but the Bluejays turned away every chance.
Patrick Smith picked up his third consecutive shutout in goal, recording a season-high 13 saves in the victory.
Elmhurst closes out the 2018 season by hosting Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday, October 27.
