ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst men's soccer team's three-game winning streak was snapped in a 4-1 season-ending loss to Illinois Wesleyan University.

Illinois Wesleyan (11-5, 4-4 CCIW) scored the game's first three goals to open up the contest. Orion Marty put the Titans on the board in the 35th minute, redirecting a Doug Ballard cross in front of the net. The Titans scored in the 59th minute on a Keegan James goal and Maison Maier's shot in the 61st minute deflected into the net to put IWU in front 3-0.

Elmhurst broke the shutout in the 78th minute when
Josh Arvidson headed home a
Keegan Thompson corner kick. The Titans scored the game's final goal in the 82nd minute when Blake Tempel scored on a breakaway.

IWU outshot Elmhurst 18-9 in the contest while the Bluejays held a 7-6 edge in corner kicks.
Patrik Smith took the loss in net for Elmhurst, allowing four goals while recording nine saves. Alex Ruckstaetter earned the win for the Titans, allowing no goals while recording three saves in 75 minutes of play.

Elmhurst finished the season with a 4-14 overall record and 2-6 mark in the CCIW.
