NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Elmhurst volleyball team closed up its two-day appearance at the CCIW/WIAC Crossover by sweeping UW-Stout in three sets.
Elmhurst upped its record to 5-8 overall with the 25-9, 25-15, 25-15 win over Stout.Â
Elmhurst finished the match hitting a whopping .419 with 30 kills and just four errors in 62 attacks.
Hannah Davis powered the Bluejays in the win with 10 kills while hitting .529.
Alli Rogers added nine kills to go with a .444 hitting percentage.
Allie Skowron added six kills while
Mel Lundin finished with four for Elmhurst. Cyle Harris recorded a team-leading two blocks in the victory.
Kelly Townsend registered 25 assists and six digs while
Amy Schryver led the team in digs with 13.
UW-Stout (5-10) hit just .024 for the match with 26 kills and 24 errors in 82 attempts. Kennedy Strain paced the Blue Devils with 13 kills while Jessica DuVal added 20 assists.Â
Elmhurst (1-0 CCIW) travels to Carthage College on Wednesday, September 27.Â
