ELMHURST, Ill. -
Lucas Wetherby Jonsson scored with just 30.6 seconds left in regulation to lead the Elmhurst men's soccer team over 15th-ranked Loras 2-1.
Elmhurst (4-1-2) used late goals in both halves to hand Loras (4-3-0) its third loss of the season. Loras scored just 5:41 into the contest on a Spencer Moore goal and the Duhawks made the goal stand up for the next 38 minutes.
Elmhurst pulled level with just 1:06 left on the clock in the first half.

Josh Arvidson and Arvidson lifted the ball towards the middle of the box.
David Bez volleyed the ball out of mid air into the upper corner to tie the contest at 1-1.
Loras outshot Elmhurst early in the second half, but Elmhurst turned the Duhaws away on multiple ocassions. Elmhurst had a throw in with just under 40 seconds remaining.
Uriel Martinez's centering pass was headed out of the box by the Duhawks, but the ball came right to Wetherby Jonsson. Wetherby Jonsson turned and lofted a shot over the head of Loras keeper Jacob Peterson to give Elmhurst the 2-1 victory.
Loras outshot Elmhurst 22-12 in the contest, including 15-7 in the second half, but Elmhurst put more shots on goal (7-6). The Bluejays also had a 10-7 edge in corner kicks.
Nick King picked up the win in goal for the Bluejays, recordinging five saves while allowing just one goal. Peterson was saddled with the loss for Loras, also finishing with five saves.
Elmhurst plays at No. 1 ranked University of Chicago on Saturday, September 23.
