ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst men's lacrosse team dominated from start to finish in a 25-8 victory over Adrian.

The Bluejays (4-6) posted the program's third highest single-game scoring total in the victory. Individually,
Ty Funderburk posted one of Elmhurst's top individual offensive performances with six goals and eight points.Â

Elmhurst jumped out to a 5-0 lead just seven minutes into the contest. The Bluejays capitalized on four man-up opportunities in the first quarter and led 7-1 heading into the second. Adrian (2-5) scored the first two goals of the second quarter, but Elmhurst bounced back, netting the final six tallies of the half and led 13-3 at the break.

Mac Harden and Funderburk both notched four goals in the opening 30 minutes, while
Jake Heil and
Matt Westhaver added two each.

Elmhurst continued to pull away in the second half, finishing off the dominant victory.

Funderburk led 10 different Elmhurst scorers, including Dan Monahan,
Gabe Gorman, and
Nathan Klimek who all netted their first goals of the season.
Nick Bonastia (one save) took the win, while
Noah Bachofen also saw time in net and stopped three shots.

The Bluejays outshot Adrian 57-15, including 39-12 in shots on goal. Elmhurst also held the edge in ground balls (48-23) and face-offs (28-9), while converting 11-of-11 clears and 7-of-8 man-up opportunities.

The Bluejays travel to Concordia (Wis.) this Wednesday, April 5 for a 7:00 p.m. start.
