Box Score BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Elmhurst men's soccer team slipped to 2-2 in the CCIW after suffering a 3-2 double overtime loss at Illinois Wesleyan University.

Elmhurst (6-4-2 overall) trailed by a goal on two occasions only to come back and score the equalizing goal. The Titans' Mason Maier scored with just 4:24 remaining in the second overtime period to lift Illinois Wesleyan (7-4-1, 2-1-0 CCIW) to the victory.

The Titans grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute on Keagan James' goal off a Patrick Hickey assist. The lead was short lived as less than three minutes later,
Josh Arvidson pulled Elmhurst even at 1-1.
JD Garnett sent a cross through the box that Arvidson headed into the back of the net to put Elmhurst on the board.

The Titans went back in front four minutes later as Ben Nielson scored off a shot from the top of the box. Illinois Wesleyan led 2-1 at the half.

Elmhurst quickly pulled even in the second half.
David Bez collected a
Lucas Wetherby Jonsson pass and tucked the ball inside the back post to pull Elmhurst level at 2-2.

The game remained knotted at 2-2 until the second OT when Maier took a Ben Nielsen throw in and lofted an arcing shot into the net for the game-winner.

Elmhurst outshot the Titans 16-9 in the contest and held a 7-4 edge in corner kicks.
Nick King took the loss in goal for Elmhurst, allowing three goals while recording two saves. Alex Ruckstaetter stopped five shots in net for the Titans.
