DECATUR, Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's soccer team fell 1-0 to Millikin University on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Frank M. Lindsay Field.
The Bluejays (4-6-2, 1-3 CCIW) recorded seven first-half shots, including four on goal, but entered halftime scoreless. Millikin (6-6-1, 2-3-0 CCIW) secured its goal at 46:29, Niyen Ruffin matched the energy with a saved penalty kick just over two minutes later to keep Elmhurst within one.
Elmhurst continued to press with eight second-half shots, including attempts on goal from Kameron McShaw, Jacob Wipke and Andrew Walters.
Wipke and Ashton Kerrigan led the Bluejays with three shots apiece, with Wipke's on goal. Walters, Loretto Lopez and Keanu Wilson each added two shots. Ruffin finished with seven saves as Elmhurst recorded 15 shots, including seven on goal.
Up Next: The Bluejays will travel to Rock Island, Ill. Wednesday, Oct. 14 facing off against Augustana. Kick off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
