Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 KENOSHA, Wis. - The Elmhurst volleyball team closed out the Carthage College Tournament with a perfect 4-0 record after defeating the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and St. Norbert College in three sets. 

Elmhurst improved to 11-1 in the process and upped its winning streak to eight. Sam Szarmach and Jackie Pavilonis were both named to the all-tournament team for their play. 

ELMHURST 3, UW-LA CROSSE 0 – Elmhurst scored its 10th victory of the season by upending Wisconsin-La Crosse 25-15, 25-20, 26-24.

Elmhurst hit .241 for the match with 42 kills and 13 errors in 104 attempts. Szarmach powered the attack, finishing with 11 kills, 11 digs and two blocks. Pavilonis chipped in with nine kills while Melissa Nava, Hannah Nimrick and Alli Rogers finished with six kills apiece. Nimrick totaled 32 assists and seven digs while Nava added six blocks for the Bluejays. Amy Schryver totaled a team-leading 12 digs and Peggy Clemens added 10 digs for the Bluejays.

ELMHURST 3, ST. NORBERT 0 – Elmhurst upped its winning streak to eight with a 25-11, 25-21, 25-21 victory over St. Norbert.

Elmhurst hit a .393 for the match with 54 kills and 10 errors in 112 attempts. Sarmach and Nava both reached double figures in kills to pace the Bluejays' offense. Szarmach pounded down 17 kills while Nava added 14 and a pair of blocks. Rogers chipped in with seven kills and nine digs while Shannon Burns totaled six kills in the victory. Schryver totaled 12 digs while Nimrick tallied 33 assists for Elmhurst.

Elmhurst hosts their second tournament of the season, next weekend (September 19-20).
