Box Score KENOSHA, Wis. - The Elmhurst volleyball team closed out the first day of the Carthage College tournament with a 25-21, 25-16, 25-16 victory over the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Jackie PavilonisElmhurst improved to 9-1 with the victory and notched their sixth consecutive win in the process. Wisconsin-Eau Claire slipped to 4-6 with the loss.
The Bluejays' offense was clicking as the squad hit .340 for the match with 51 kills and 15 errors in 106 attempts.
Jackie Pavilonis led the way for Elmhurst, hitting .480 with 14 kills and two blocks.
Sam Szarmach added 10 kills and seven digs while
Melissa Nava chipped in with nine kills and five blocks.
Hannah Nimrick dished out 30 assists and added nine kills for the Bluejays.
Amy Schryver led the squad in digs with 11.
Elmhurst, ranked 15th in the latest AVCA Division III poll, faces St. Norbert College and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on the tournament's second day.
