Elmhurst snapped a two-game slide with the victory, improving to 3-2 in the process. Albion dropped to 1-3 with the loss.

The Bluejays outshot Albion 8-5 in the opening half, but neither squad could find the back of the net.

With the game still scoreless, Jeff Kading bent a corner kick into the box and Swanson-Ralph headed the ball home for his first collegiate goal.

Elmhurst's John Reglin recorded two saves in the final six minutes to preserve the shutout.

Albion outshot Elmhurst 7-3 in the second half and 12-11 for the contest.

Reglin recorded nine saves to record his third shutout of the season. Justin Kraft stopped six shots in net for Albion while taking the loss.

Elmhurst will face its fourth consecutive MIAA opponent, Kalamazoo College, on Saturday, September 13.
