OLIVET, Mich. - Erik Crittenden totaled 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Elmhurst men's basketball team to an 81-57 road victory at Olivet College.
Elmhurst remained unbeaten on the season with the victory, improving to 5-0 in the process. Olivet slipped to 1-4 with the loss.

Erik CrittendenElmhurst trailed only for the first few minutes of the contest before seizing control and never looking back. A lay-up by Crittenden with 15:28 left in the opening half put the Bluejays on top for good. Leading by seven (22-15) with 6:48 left in the half, the Bluejays closed the half on a 21-10 run to open up a 43-25 lead at the half.
Olivet came as close as 12 points with seven minutes left in the second half, but the Bluejays used a 13-4 run over the next three minutes to open up a 21-point advantage before cruising to the 24-point victory.
Elmhurst shot 44.3 percent (31-of-70) from the floor, but only 27.8 percent (5-of-18) from three-point range. The Bluejays were dominant on the glass, outrebounding Olivet by 26 (54-28). Elmhurst turned 20 offensive rebounds into 18 second-chance points.
Crittenden totaled a double-double to pace Elmhurst, finishing with a game-high 21 rebounds and 10 rebounds. He shot 10-of-18 from the floor in the victory.
Will Nixon added 12 points and eight rebounds for Elmhurst while
Nathan Rogers came off the bench to score 15 and grab nine rebounds for Elmhurst.
Kyle Wuest chipped in with nine points while
Jalen Loving scored eight for the Bluejays.
Olivet shot 32.8 percent (20-of-61) from the floor, including just 20.0 percent (4-of-20) from downtown. Â Anthony Easter came off the bench to lead the Comets in the loss with 12 points. DeOndre Callahan added 10 points while Jordan Union finished with nine points.
