CHICAGO, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's soccer team had its four-game winning streak snapped in a 1-0 loss at North Park University.
Elmhurst (10-4-3, 3-2-1 CCIW) outshot North Park 19-10 for the contest, including a 13-6 advantage in the opening half, but the Bluejays could not find the back of the net.
North Park scored the game's only goal in the 33rd minute when Carlos Rodriguez scored off of Fredrik Greiff feed.
John Reglin took the loss in net for the Bluejays, surrendering his first goal since October 11. He recorded one save in the loss. Wesley Woodley earned the win for the Vikings, stopping all seven shots he faced.
Mike Emig totaled four shots for the Bluejays while
Michael Delong,
Jeff Kading and
Josh Rudd had three shots apiece.Â
Elmhurst has clinched a spot in next week's CCIW tournament, securing either the third or fourth seed in the tournament. Elmhurst can guarantee itself the third seed with a win or a tie against Carthage College. The Bluejays host the Red Men on Saturday, November 1.Â
