ELMHURST, Ill. - Second half goals from
Andrew Moore and
Michael Delong lifted the Elmhurst men's soccer team past the University of Dubuque 2-0 for the Bluejays' third consecutive shutout victory.
Elmhurst (9-3-3) dominated Dubuque (5-7-3) for the majority of the contest, outshooting the Spartans 21-3 for the contest. The Bluejays outshot Dubuque 13-2 in the opening half, but couldn't find the back of the net.

Andrew MooreDubuque keeper Riley Jensen made a diving save of a
Brad Yarwood header early in the half to keep the game scoreless.
Elmhurst finally broke through in the 62nd minute.
Josh Rudd fired a low line drive shot that Jensen sprawled out to save. The rebound came loose to
Andrew Moore in front of the net and Moore tucked the ball home to put Elmhurst on top 1-0.
Elmhurst made it 2-0 in th 79th minute on a penalty kick from Delong.
Mike Emig made a long run down the far sideline and was pulled down from behind in the box. Delong fired the penalty shot past the outstretched arms of Jensen just inside the far post to make the score 2-0.Â
The Bluejays' defense kept Dubuque at bay all game long. The Spartans managed just one shot on goal for the entire game.
John Reglin recorded one save while playing 81:31 in net.
Nathaniel Pauer finished up in goal to give Elmhurst its 10th shutout of the season.
Jensen finished with four saves in goal for Dubuque.
Elmhurst resumes CCIW play on Saturday, October 25, by hosting Illinois Wesleyan University.Â
