Box Score ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst volleyball team, ranked fourth in the AVCA Division III poll, opened the 2013 season with a three-set sweep over St. Norbert College.

Elmhurst breezed to a 25-12, 25-11, 25-19 victory to give head coach Julie Hall her 499th career victory.

The Bluejays had a balanced attack with three different players reaching double figures in kills. Elmhurst totaled just nine hitting errors while hitting .388 for the match.

Kaitlyn Wilks led the charge for the Bluejays with 12 kills and four blocks while hitting .400. Marci Novak added 11 kills and seven digs with a .476 hitting percentage. Sam Szarmach added 10 kills and eight digs with a .444 hitting percentage. Megan Reynolds pounded down seven kills and hit a team-high .538 while also registering four blocks.

Lauren Lorenz totaled a team-high 24 assists to go with 10 digs while Katie Rueffer finished with 14 assists and three kills. Hannah Lessen led the Bluejays in digs with 16.

Elmhurst hosts Occidental College at 8:00 p.m.
