Box Score ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's soccer team moved one step closer to a spot in the CCIW Tournament by defeating Augustana College 1-0.

Elmhurst improved to 10-3-3 overall and 3-1-2 in the CCIW while Augustana fell to 5-10-1 and 0-6 in league play

Despite being outshot 18-6 in the contest, Elmhurst scored the game's only goal in the second half. Brett Stiffler broke a scoreless tie in the 66th minute with his third goal of the season.

John Reglin notched his eighth shutout in goal by stopping all six shots he faced. Augustana's Tyler Cowherd recorded two saves while taking the loss.

Elmhurst can clinch a spot in the CCIW Tournament with a win in their final game against North Central or a loss by Illinois Wesleyan.

Elmhurst wraps up its regular season by traveling to North Central College on Wednesday, October 30.
