Box Score WHEATON, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's soccer team fell to 0-3 in CCIW play after falling 3-1 at Wheaton College.
Elmhurst (8-7overall) got on the scoreboard in the first less than 14 minutes into the game. Mikey Emig tallied his team-leading sixth goal of the year of a pass from
Michael Delong to stake the Bluejays to a 1-0 lead.
Wheaton scored the equalizer in the 33rd minute when Stephen Golz connected off quick passes from Dan Pavlak and Nathan Jasperse.
The game remained knotted at 1-1 until the 71st minute when Wheaton's Chad Musgraves scored from a Noah Anthony assist.
Wheaton's Marshall Hollingsworth put the game out of reach in the 83rd minute when he scored on a breakaway goal.
Wheaton (10-3, 4-0-1 CCIW) outshot Elmhurst 25-8 in the contest. The Thunder also had a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.
John Reglin stopped seven shots in goal for the Bluejays while Ryan Seager recorded two saves for Wheaton.
Elmhurst travels to North Park University on Wednesday (October 17).
