GREENVILLE, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's tennis team moved to 4-1-1 on the season after playing Greenville College to a 1-1 draw.
Greenville (2-2-3) jumped on the scoreboard first when Mark Ward scored off of a double pass from Dan Taylor and David Dunlap.
Matt Sterner scored the equalizer for the Bluejays in the second half. Sterner netted the goal off a
Brian McMahon assist in the 65th minute.
Greenville outshot Elmhurst 16-13 in the contest, but the Bluejays had a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
John Reglin played all 110 minutes in goal for Elmhurst, allowing just one goal while stopping six shots. Nathan Haas recorded seven saves and allowed one goal for Greenville while playing 92 minutes. Thomas Crown finished the game's final 18 minutes and stopped one shot.
Elmhurst travels to Webster University on Sunday, September 18.
