HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Elmhurst College women's tennis team fell to 4-7 on the season after a 7-2 loss to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire at Hilton Head, S.C.

Elmhurst's Virginia Dallman scored a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Taylor Heltne at No. 1 singles. UW-Eau Claire's Katie Gillman toppled Stephanie Ruff 6-3, 6-4 at No.2 singles while Gretchen Bachmeier defeated Elmhurst's Alex Stark 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. At No. 4 singles, the Bluegold's Lexi DeMario defeated Shannon Dale 6-3, 6-2. Mary Frassetto (6-2, 6-1 win over Emily Tarlini at No. 5 singles) and Stephanie Wolf (6-1, 7-5 win over Ragan Wilson at No. 6 singles) added singles victories for UW-Eau Claire.

In doubles action, UW-Eau Claire's team of Heltne and Gillman defeated Dallman and Dale 8-3 at No. 1 doubles. Elmhurst's duo of Stark and Ruff defeated Bachmeier and Frassetto 9-7 at No. 2 doubles. UW-Eau Claire's Wolf and Emily Hiebl downed Tarlini and Wilson 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.
