ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team won its 13th straight match by sweeping Illinois Wesleyan University 25-14, 25-18, 25-16.

Sam Szarmach finished with a team-leading nine kills for the Bluejays. Kaitlyn Wilks and Antonéya Veasy Smith added seven kills apiece for Elmhurst. Wilks finished with two blocks while Veasy Smith recorded 11 digs in the win. Megan Reynolds finished with six kills and a match-high seven blocks. Erin Thill led the squad in assists with 23 while Perrie Morgan finished with a team-leading 19 digs.

With the win, Elmhurst (26-4, 5-2 CCIW) secured the third see for the CCIW Tournament and will host a rematch against Illinois Wesleyan in a tournament play-in match next Tuesday (November 1).

The three other play-in matches will feature No.1 Carthage College hosting No. 8 North Park University; No. 2 Millikin University welcoming No. 7 Augustana College; and No.4 Wheaton College hosting No. 5 North Central College.

Elmhurst takes on Benedictine University and Edgewood College this Saturday (October 29) at North Central College.
