BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's soccer team suffered its first CCIW loss of the season after falling 1-0 at Illinois Wesleyan University.

Elmhurst dropped to 5-5-3 overall and 1-1-3 in the CCIW with the loss.

Illinois Wesleyan's Kyle Gorgol broke a scoreless tie in the 78th minute by scoring on a blast from the top of the box.

Illinois Wesleyan (7-5-1, 2-1-1 CCIW) outshot Elmhurst 10-2 in the match. The Titans had an 8-6 edge in corner kicks, including a 7-1 advantage in the opening half.

John Reglin took the loss in the net for the Bluejays, despite allowing just one goal. Reglin recorded five saves for Elmhurst. Tim Hegwood recorded the shutout in net for the Titans, stopping the only shot he faced.

Elmhurst hosts Macalester College at Berens Park on Monday (October 17) at 2:00 p.m.
