NORMAL, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's cross country team scored 402 points to place 13th at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Illinois State University.
The Bluejays finished 13th out of 32 teams made up from teams from the NAIA, junior college ranks, and all NCAA divisions. Elmhurst finished with 253 points in the College Division standings, comprised off all Non-NCAA Division I schools.
Pat Austin was the top finisher for Elmhurst, crossing the finish line in 26:10, good for 41st-place. Jake Austin added a 97th-place finish with a time of 27:01. Tom McGrath completed the course in 27:16 (111th place) while Doug Vrchota finished just one second behind in 112th place (27:17). Nathan Selling rounded out Elmhurst's team score by placing 157th in 28:09. David Melone (170th place in 28:23) and Jeff Camp (197th place in 28:57) completed the Bluejays' top-seven.
