ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College wrestling team remained unbeaten in dual meet competition by toppling Lakeland College 37-6. 

Elmhurst, ranked 26th in the latest NWCA poll, improved to 4-0 on the season with

Tom Laskowske started the dual with an 11-2 major victory over Lakeland's Grant Franson at 125 pounds. Laskowske had control for the majority of the match, recording over five minutes of riding time in the match. At 133 pounds, Ben Salabura earned a 12-3 major decision over Lakeland's John Wormwood. Elmhurst's Mike Grice scored a takedown late in the second period to defeat Rob Frias 5-2 at 141 pounds. Ryan Earley staked Elmhurst to a 16-0 lead in the dual by scoring a 15-0 technical fall in 5:15 over Lakeland's Jacob Bugajski. Brandon Garcia gave Lakeland its first points of the dual by defeating Elmhurst's Tom Jung 5-3 with a takedown in overtime. 

At 165 pounds, Lakeland's Ryan Renon used an escape in the final 25 seconds of the match to edge Yousef Al-Ghoul 8-7. Elmhurst's Frank Savegnago gave Elmhurst a 22-6 advantage in the dual by pinning Bryce Bobula in 4:53 at 174 pounds. At 184 pounds, the Bluejays' Joe Rau made short work of Chris Weber, pinning the Muskie's grappler in 3:40. Mike McNeil scored his fifth win of the season by toppling Lakeland's Zach Wetzel 11-8 at 197 pounds. The Bluejays' Mark Corsello closed out the dual by pinning Lakeland's Tom Phalin in 2:31.
