ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's cross country team totaled 129 points to place fifth at the 2010 CCIW Championship at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island.

North Central won the team title with 17 points while Augustana College placed second with 67 points. Wheaton College finished third (78 points) while Illinois Wesleyan University placed fourth with 117 points.

Pat Austin earned all-conference honors for the Bluejays by placing fourth in 24:41.4. Jake Austin added a 22nd place finish in 25:48.9 while Doug Vrchota finished 31st with a time of 26:46.3 David Melone crossed the finish line in 27:02.0, good for 35th place. Nathan Selling finished just two places behind with a time of 27:03.0. Jeff Slavick (39th place in 27:30.4) and Jeff Camp (42nd place in 27:47.2) rounded out the Bluejays' top-seven.

Elmhurst will host the National Two-Mile Time Trial on Friday, November 5.
