DECATUR, Ill. - Keith Thurman and Matt Sterner both scored a goal to help the Elmhurst College men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Millikin University.

Elmhurst improved to 9-8 overall and 2-4 in the CCIW with the win. 

The Bluejays jumped out to a fast start, scoring a pair of goals in the opening half. Thurman started the scoring in the 18th minute when he found the back of the net off of a Luke Froehlich feed. Fourteen minutes later, Elmhurst padded its lead when Sterner scored off of an assist from Jon Brehm.

Millikin (5-10-1, 0-5-1 CCIW) jumped on the scoreboard with just 12:51 left to play in the contest. Ryan Schneider registered the Big Blue's goal, scoring on a pass from Ian Harteli. 

Elmhurst finished the game outshooting Millikin 11-6, including a 9-2 edge in the opening half.

Sebastian Domczewski scored the win in goal for the Bluejays. He allowed one goal while recording a pair of saves. Derrek Schwartz suffered the loss in net for the Big Blue, allowing a pair of goals while recording one save.

Elmhurst wraps up the 2010 season by hosting Augustana College at Berens Park on Saturday, October 30.
