CHICAGO, Ill. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team secured the third seed for the upcoming CCIW Tournament by toppling North Park University 25-17, 26-24, 25-20 in Chicago.

With the win, Elmhurst improved to 21-10 overall and finished CCIW play with a 5-2 record. Elmhurst will host sixth-seeded North Central College in a CCIW Tournament Play-In Match next Tuesday (November 2).

Megan Reynolds powered the Bluejays to the victory over the Vikings by totaling eight ills and a whopping 10 blocks. Janelle Thompson finished with a team-leading nine kills and added six blocks in the victory. Hannah Lessen chipped in with six kills and a 18 digs while Antonéya Veasy Smith turned in a five-kill, three-block performance. Freshman Anita Hernandez recorded a team-leading 19 digs and Katie Rueffer tallied 19 assists.

Elmhurst plays at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater tournament on October 29-30.
