ELMHURST, Ill. - David Griggs headed home a corner kick in the 21st minute to propel the Elmhurst men's soccer team to a 1-0 shutout win over North Central College.

Griggs broke a scoreless tie by sending home a Matt Sterner corner kick midway through the opening half. 

Elmhurst (7-7, 1-3 CCIW) outshot North Central 17-3 in the contest. 

Bluejay goalkeeper Sebastian Domczewski broke up several North Central corner kicks and multiple throw ins to keep the Cardinals off the scoreboard. Domczewski recorded two saves to earn his fourth shutout of the season in goal. Phillip Kilpp took the loss in goal for North Central (4-6-3, 0-2-1), allowing one goal while recording four saves.

Elmhurst hosts Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday, October 16.
