WHEATON, Ill. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team won its fourth straight match and improved to 5-5 on the season by defeating Wheaton College 25-18, 25-20, 24-26, 25-11.

Elmhurst (2-0 in CCIW play) jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead by taking the first two sets 25-18, 25-20. Wheaton (5-4 overall, 0-2 in CCIW play) answered back to win the third set 26-24. The Bluejays then ran away with the fourth set, pounding the Thunder 25-11 to take the match.

Antonéya Veasy Smith pounded down a season-high 16 kills to lead Elmhurst in the victory. Veasy Smith also registered five digs and three blocks in the win. Caitlin O'Hara added 12 kills and six blocks while Melissa Miehlke finished with 10 kills and 13 digs. Lisa Burger added seven kills, 19 digs,  and a team-leading five service aces for the Bluejays. Katie Buechel recorded a team-leading 25 digs while Jameela Chaudhry chipped in with 15 digs.

Elmhurst continues CCIW play by hosting Illinois Wesleyan University on Tuesday, September 22.
