SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Elmhurst College volleyball team moved to 16-15 overall after splitting a pair of matches at the Trinity University (Texas) Invitational.

The Bluejays started the day with a 25-20, 25-23, 25-16 victory over Texas Lutheran University. Elmhurst suffered a 13-25, 25-22, 21-25, 30-28, 8-15 loss to tournament host Trinity University.

ELMHURST 3, TEXAS LUTHERAN 0 - Elmhurst moved to 16-14 on the season by sweeping Texas Lutheran 3-0. Paige Fombelle pounded down 11 kills to lead the Bluejays in the victory. Caitlin O'Hara finished with 10 kills and five blocks while Lisa Burger added seven kills. Katie Buechel finished with 16 digs while Erin Thill tallied 19 assists. Lindy Melville finished with 15 assists in the victory.

TRINITY 3, ELMHURST 2 - The Bluejays dropped to 16-15 after falling to 15th-ranked Trinity University in five sets. O'Hara led the squad in the loss with 15 kills. Janelle Thompson and Meghan Mullaney tallied 11 kills apiece. Thill led the team in assists with 30 while Melville recorded 24 assists. Buechel totaled a team-leading 25 digs in the loss.

Elmhurst closes out the regular season portion of its schedule by hosting the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Wednesday, October 28.
