LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team ran its record to 8-9 overall after scoring a 25-21, 25-13, 25-10 road win at Lake Forest College

After edging out a 25-21 in the first set, the Bluejays hammered Lake Forest (3-14) 25-13, 25-10 in the next two sets to score the 3-0 victory.

Antonéya Veasy Smith led the Bluejays in the win by pounding down 13 kills. Meghan Mullaney added nine kills while Paige Fombelle finished with seven. Lindy Melville recorded a team-leading 20 assists while Erin Thill totaled 16. Katie Buechel led the squad in digs with 21.

Elmhurst resumes CCIW play on Tuesday, October 6, by hosting Millikin University.
