ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team improved to 6-4 following a 25-21, 25-21, 14-25, 25-9 win over Lake Forest College.

Elmhurst took both of the first sets by identical 25-21 scores, but Lake Forest (2-7) battled back to take the third 25-14.  Elmhurst controlled the fourth set from the start, cruising to the 25-9 win.

Caitlin O'Hara (Lemont/H.S.) powered the Bluejays to the win with 15 kills and five blocks. Alison Friedrich (Wadsworth/Zion-Benton) added seven kills while Lisa Burger (Addison/Addison Trail) and Callie Schriner (Lanark/Eastland) finished with six kills apiece. Schriner added 17 digs and four aces in the win. Katie Buechel (Fond du Lac, Wis./H.S.) led the team in digs with 21, while Lindy Melville (Jenison, Mich./H.S.) totaled a team-high 20 assists. Emily Hilliker (Franklin Grove/Ashton Franklin Center) added 17 assists in the victory.
