DECATUR, Ill. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team defeated Millikin University 3-2 in a play-in match to earn a trip to the CCIW Tournament for the first time in three seasons.

Elmhurst (22-13 overall) defeated Millikin in a thrilling five-set match 25-19, 25-22, 19-25, 17-25, 15-8.

Alison Friedrich led the Bluejays in the win, totaling 20 kills, 10 digs, and five blocks. Caitlin O'Hara added 12 kills in the victory while Meghan Mullaney finished with 10 kills and nine digs. Morgan Jones tallied a team-high six blocks while Emily Hilliker led the squad in assists with 20. Lindy Melville finished with 19 assists and nine digs, while Jameela Chaudhry totaled a team-high 10 digs.

The CCIW Tournament will be held on Friday-Saturday (November 7-8) at Carthage College.
