MEDFORD, Mass. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team wrapped up play at the Tufts University Invitational with a 2-2 record by winning a pair of five-set matches. Elmhurst knocked off Endicott College 3-2, and then closed the tournament with a 3-2 win over MIT.  The Bluejays moved to 10-8 overall with the victories.

ELMHURST 3, ENDICOTT 2 - Elmhurst began the day with a 23-25, 25-21, 25-21, 26-28, 15-12 win over Endicott College. Callie Schriner led the Bluejays in the win with 14 kills. Alison Friedrich added 12 kills and seven aces in the victory. Lindy Melville finished with 26 assists, while Emily Hilliker totaled 20. Caitlin O'Hara finished with a team-high three blocks while Erika Lindstrom led the Bluejays in digs, finishing with 18.

ELMHURST 3, MIT 2 - The Bluejays won their second straight five-set match by defeating MIT 18-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-15, 15-12. O'Hara led Elmhurst in the win with 11 kills and five blocks. Friedrich pounded downs 12 kills for the second straight match. Hilliker totaled 21 assists while Melville finished with 15 assists and four aces. Lindstrom added a team-high 23 digs in the victory.

Elmhurst hosts North Central College on Tuesday, October 7, at 7:00 p.m.
