ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College volleyball team upped its record to 18-10 by winning a pair of matches at the Elmhurst College Invitational.

The Bluejays defeated Judson College 3-0 and closed out day one of the tournament with a 3-0 victory over the University of Chicago.

ELMHURST 3, JUDSON 0 - The Bluejays kicked off the tournament with a convincing 25-19, 25-16, 25-18 win over Judson University. Caitlin O'Hara pounded down 16 kills to lead the Bluejays in the win. Alison Friedrich added 11 kills and 11 digs while Emily Hilliker chipped in with 15 assists. Lindy Melvillee recorded 11 assists and 11 digs in the win.

ELMHURST 3, CHICAGO 0 - Elmhurst moved to 18-10 and avenged an early season loss to the University of Chicago by toppling the Maroons 25-18, 25-19, 28-26.  Elmhurst quickly opened up a two set lead, but had to fight off five set points in the third set to score the 3-0 victory.  O'Hara totaled 12 kills and six blocks to pace the Bluejays' offense. Friedrich recorded a team-high 13 kills while Hilliker added a team-high 19 assists. Melville finished with 12 assists while Jameela Chaudhry totaled a team-high 17 digs.

Elmhurst will face the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and St. Norbert College on day two of the tournament.
