ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst College men's soccer team upped its record to 12-4-0 by defeating Lake Forest College 3-2.

The Bluejays outshot Lake Forest 30-11 and jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but had to hold off a second half surge from the Foresters.

Elmhurst got on the scoreboard in the 25th minute when Cary Kendzior blasted home a goal off an assist from Matt McKinniss. 

Jon Brehm made it 2-0 in the 39th minute when he scored off a feed from Brian Chrencik.

Elmhurst added a third goal in the opening minute of the second half when Brehm headed home a pass from McKinniss.

Lake Forest cut into the Bluejays' lead with second half goals from Jerrold Rosema (56th minute) and Robbie Weis (67th minute), but could not score the equalizer.

Sebastian Domczewski and Daren Scarberry combined for the win in goal for the Bluejays.

Elmhurst travels to Wheaton College on Wednesday, October 22, for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
