    Assistant Volleyball Coach
Erin (Whitehead) Jessen is beginning her second season as an assistant coach with the Elmhurst volleyball team.

Jessen transferred to Elmhurst prior to the start of the 2004 season and helped the Bluejays win a CCIW title and reach the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. Jessen earned second-team all-conference accolades while ranking second on the squad with 400 kills. In 2005, Jessen earned honorable mention all-conference accolades while totaling 343 kills and helping the squad return to the NCAA Tournament. She finished her two-year Elmhurst career with 754 kills, 752 digs and 144 blocks.

Jessen has continued to play competitive volleyball in beach competition and in adult indoor USAV.

She has coached at the club level for Adversity Volleyball Club for the girl’s 18U program for six years and the boy’s 16U-purple for one season.

Jessen earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Elmhurst in 2007 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in exercise science from Concordia University-Chicago. She works as an insurance agent for American Family Insurance in Lake Bluff and currently resides in Libertyville.
