Aaron Rusnak is entering his first season as the head women's tennis coach at Elmhurst College.
Rusnak has spent the last 20 years coaching tennis throughout the Chicago area and spent seven years playing professional tennis on the USTA Pro Circuit.
Rusnak served as an assistant coach for the Elmhurst men's tennis team during the 2012-13 season and helped lead the Bluejays to their first College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championship in over 60 years. He also previously served as an assistant coach at Dominican University during the 2001-02 season.
Rusnak began his tennis coaching career as a tennis pro at Schaumburg Tennis Plus in 1997. He also worked as a tennis pro at Elmhurst Courts Plus (2002-08), Prairie Stone Sports and Wellness Center (2006-07) and Five Seasons Country Club (2007-08). He’s spent the past 10 years at the College Park Athletic Club, growing the tournament training program to over 220 participants. Currently serving as the Super Excellence Director and dealing with the Club’s high school players, Rusnak has helped develop 10 high national ranked juniors and watched many former players go on to compete at the NCAA Division I level.
From 2002-08, Rusnak played on USTA Pro Circuit and climbed as high as #220 out of over 1,900 professionals in the United State Professional ranking system.
