C.J. Bachmann is entering his third season as an assistant coach with the Elmhurst men's soccer team.
Bachmann spent 10 years at Carthage College (2006-08 and 2011-18), serving as the Red Men's head recruiter and tactical/technical coach. He helped guide the Red Men to three CCIW Championships and four NCAA Tournament appearances.Â
Bachmann played collegiately at Loyola University, earning Newcomer of the Year honors as a freshman and all-conference honors as a sophomore and junior. He spent time playing internationally working with the Freiburg U23 team in Germany. He also played or the Chicago Fire PDL of the USL League 2 and helped win an amateur national championship as a member of Chicago Winged Bull. He closed out his collegiate career at Carthage, earning all-conference accolades in the process.Â
Bachmann holds a National C coaching license. He resides in Barrington with his fiance McCall and his daughter Brianna.Â
